A place where you can appreciate nature in its splendor, an underwater landscape that will amaze you and where it is possible to do sport fishing.

 

The Laguna Parrillar Reserve has a large area and stands out for the protection of fauna species such as the huemul, puma, black woodpecker, peuquito and concón.

You can see native species such as the nutria and the Chilean nutria and exotic species such as the beaver and muskrat.

 

In terms of flora, there is the lenga and coigüe de Magallanes forest. It is possible to observe shrubs such as calafate and michay, as well as various species of orchids, mosses, lichens and liverworts.

HOW TO GET

ACCESS TO THE RESERVATION

  • Follow the route that leads south to the Brunswick peninsula along the shoreline of the Strait of Magellan.

  • South of Punta Arenas on Route 56, turning right at the Agua Fresca Police Station, located at km. 25.

  • From that point to the entrance of the Reserve there is a distance of 30 km. approximately.

RATES

  • High Season (October-April): National child (age equal to and less than 11 years) income released.

  • National adolescent (12 to 17 years old) $ 1,500.

  • National adult $ 2,500.

  • National elderly (over 60 years) income released.

  • National disabled child (age equal to and less than 11 years old) released income.

  • National disabled adolescent (12 to 17 years old) income released.

  • Disabled national adult $ 1,500.

  • National elderly disabled person (over 60 years) income released.

  • Foreign child (age equal to and less than 11 years) income released.

  • Foreign adolescent (12 to 17 years old) $ 2,500.

  • Foreign adult and senior citizen (includes disabled persons) $ 5,000.

  • Low Season (May-September): Closed to visitors.

SERVICES WITHIN THE RESERVATION

  • The Reserve has hiking trails: Chorrillo Hermoso (1,540 m.) And El Nono (1 km), the Tres Morros trail is disabled (closed). The Legue trail (3 km) is about to be enabled.

  • picnic areas and camping areas, which are equipped with sheds, fire pits with a roof, an area with protection for the tent and bathrooms for public use.

  • In addition, it allows the practice of sport fishing.

  • Camping: $ 12,000 the site (24 hours).

  • Picnic: $ 5,000 per site per day.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The Reserve is located about 52 km south of Punta Arenas.

  • About 12 km leaving Punta Arenas to the South is the Hostería Agua Fresca. From the Reserve to the Inn are about 37 km.

  • The Regional Hospital is located 57 km from the Reserve.

  • Keep in mind that in Magellan's climate, cold, rain and strong winds predominate, so appropriate clothing and footwear is ideal.
